In other Westside tournament games:

Hart 8, Hueneme 4--Bill Susdorf (1-0) pitched four innings of one-hit relief with six strikeouts and hit a two-run home run in the first inning and the Indians won at Hart.

Brandon Montemayor had four hits, including a two-run homer, for Hart (2-1), which is ranked fourth in the region by The Times.

Hueneme is 0-2.

Canyon 10, Buena 8--Canyon (2-1) scored two runs on a two-out throwing error in the bottom of the sixth in a Red Division game that was called because of darkness after six innings.

Buena’s Nate Pierce hit a grand slam in the fifth and also doubled.

Rio Mesa 3, Palisades 1--Sophomore Brian Borchard pitched a six-hitter for the Spartans in a victory at Rio Mesa.

Nick Borroso’s two-run double highlighted a three-run sixth inning for Rio Mesa (2-1).

Borchard (1-0) struck out nine and walked one.

Calabasas 15, St. Monica 7--Randy Curtis had three hits and three RBIs, and Mike Grossman had three RBIs to help the Coyotes win at Loyola Marymount.

Justin Segal and Brandon Cohen each had two hits for Calabasas (2-0-1).

Brad Schultz (1-0) pitched 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief, allowing two hits and striking out two.

Ventura 7, University 2--Senior left-hander Kenny Newville (1-0) struck out 13 in a five-hitter and the Cougars won at University.

Brian Minkel had three hits and Matt Frick had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Ventura (3-0).

Moorpark 3, Crossroads 0--David Burckin pitched a two-hitter and struck out nine for the Musketeers in a victory at Moorpark.

Chris Nealon had two hits, including a solo home run for Moorpark (2-0).

Chatsworth 5, Beverly Hills 1--Jacob Ball pitched a four-hitter with four strikeouts and drove in two runs for the Chancellors at Chatsworth.

Gregg Wallis had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs, and Danny Dominguez hit a two-run home run for the Chancellors (3-0).

Westchester 5, Alemany 4--Felipe Gallo had two hits and an RBI but the Indians lost at Westchester (1-2).

Ryan Cheski (0-1) allowed three earned runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings for Alemany (0-2-1), with seven strikeouts and one walk.

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY TOURNAMENT

Quartz Hill 3, Bell 2--Tyler Simi’s sacrifice fly scored Chris Walker in the eighth inning to lift the Rebels (3-0) at San Fernando High.

Walker (2-0), who allowed no hits in 3 1/3 innings of relief, reached base on an error and moved to third on a single by Dustin Petzold.

San Fernando 13, Notre Dame 5--The Tigers (2-1) hit five home runs off three pitchers in winning at Notre Dame.

Jesus Martinez and Victory Martinez each hit two home runs and combined to drive in seven runs.

Chris Dickerson of Notre Dame hit a three-run home run and a two-run homer.

Valencia 11, Cleveland 1--Matt Dixon and Jeff Green combined on a one-hitter and the Vikings won at Valencia.

Richie Martin hit a grand slam and a run-scoring double for the Vikings (2-0).

Green (1-0) struck out four in three innings of relief.

Chaminade 15, Granada Hills 5--Jon Higashi hit three home runs and drove in nine runs for the Eagles (2-1) at Chaminade.

Ryan Braun and John Usila each homered twice for Granada Hills (1-2), accounting for four of the Highlanders’ six hits.

Thousand Oaks 6, Poly 0--Tracy Goebel pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts in a victory at Poly (2-1).

Adam Leavitt hit a home run, a triple and a sacrifice fly for the Lancers (2-1).

Westlake 11, Birmingham 2--Jon Shepard hit a double and a two-run home run for the Warriors (3-0) at Westlake.

La Canada 4, North Hollywood 3--Raul Perez hit a run-scoring single in the seventh to lift the Spartans at La Canada.

EL SEGUNDO TOURNAMENT

Crespi 6, Agoura 3--Dale Legaspi’s two-run single keyed a three-run third inning that carried the Celts to victory at Agoura.

Legaspi, Marshall Plouffe and Dustin Slade each had two hits for Crespi (2-0).

Craig Raimondi had two hits and two RBIs for Agoura (1-1).

Simi Valley 10, Brea Olinda 1--John Day had three hits and two RBIs for the Pioneers (2-1) at Brea Olinda.
