Chatsworth’s Levinson is Big Hit in Latest Role

Everyone on Chatsworth High’s baseball team knew senior Brian Levinson could act.
Levinson has had small roles in “Seinfeld,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Predator II,” and “Matilda.”
But Levinson is starting to prove he can hit, too. Levinson, who just turned 17 and played junior varsity last season, is six for 10 after opening the season on the bench.
“I’ve been working [hard],” Levinson said.
He gave up acting to focus on baseball. His residual earnings from acting have helped finance his baseball career.
“It pays for my bat, my glove, all my baseball stuff,” he said.
Last week, assistant coach Matt LaCour was watching an episode of “Seinfeld” and spotted Levinson playing a kid in an ice cream truck.
“I told my wife, ‘Hey, that kid’s on my team,’ ” LaCour said.
Levinson, who plays third base, wants to keep playing baseball in college while learning how to become a producer or director.
