DIVISION I

* HARBOR CITY NARBONNE (33-0) vs. BERKELEY (29-2), Saturday

Narbonne is hoping to complete a perfect season by beating Berkeley in the final for the second time in three years. Narbonne was stripped of its title in 1998 for violations related to residence issues. Several members of that team, among them senior forward Ebony Hoffman and junior guard Loree Moore, are intent on winning--and keeping--the title. Narbonne trailed Hanford at halftime in the regional final before taking off on one of its patented runs keyed by a high-pressure defense. Sophomore guard Lisa Willis is one of the best perimeter shooters in the state. Senior Aisha Hollins of Berkeley is playing in her third state final and will join Hoffman at USC next season. Forward Robyn Roberson and point guard Erica McGlaston are other top players for the Yellowjackets, who are seeking their third state title.

DIVISION III

* TORRANCE BISHOP MONTGOMERY (28-3) vs. PETALUMA (30-6), Saturday

Bishop Montgomery is trying to win its third title in five years. The Knights are young and extremely talented. Freshmen Lauren Ervin and Noelle Quinn and sophomore Brittney Thomas are only a few of Bishop Montgomery’s scoring threats. Petaluma is making its first appearance in the final. Lindsay Vollmer and Janelle Lombardi lead the Trojans.

DIVISION IV

* PLAYA DEL REY ST. BERNARD (26-5) vs. STOCKTON ST. MARY’S (33-3), today

Three-time champion St. Bernard is in the final for the fifth time. Shannon Howell and Alexis Kendricks lead the Vikings, who last won a title in 1998. St. Mary’s is making its first championship-game appearance. St. Mary’s defeated defending champion Atherton Sacred Heart to reach the final. The team is led by center Andrea Nederostek and guards Michelle Cozad and Dominique Banks.
