San Clemente lost its opener and its season finale. In between, the Tritons played some pretty good football despite being ravaged by injuries. Triton Coach Eric Patton will start senior Dan Coviello at quarterback, but he also will use sophomore Beau Budde in a two-quarterback system. Linebacker Jamen Tabesh, one of the Tritons’ captains, will not play because of a broken leg he suffered against Mission Viejo. Colin Mahoney, who missed three weeks with a broken collarbone, is close to 100%. Dominguez should test the Tritons with its balanced offense and team speed.
