In other Division IV playoff openers:
Westlake 63, Santa Barbara 7--Cory Miles threw four touchdown passes and completed all 13 of his passes for 233 yards, as the Warriors dominated at home.
Westlake (10-1), Marmonte League champion and ranked No. 1 in Division IV, scored touchdowns on its first nine possessions, including six in the first half.
Casey O’Brien opened the scoring with a one-yard run that capped a 63-yard drive. O’Brien had a 35-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and finished with 43 yards in four carries.
Five Westlake receivers caught touchdown passes. Ryan Foltz caught seven passes for 164 yards, including scoring receptions of 18 and 78 yards.
Jonathon Contos rushed for 89 yards in eight carries and had three receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown. Chad Spears, Joe Lemma and Dan Catalano had scoring receptions of five, 14 and 22 yards, respectively.
Backup quarterback Todd Feiereisen completed three of five passes for 22 yards and two touchdowns.
Santa Barbara (2-9) scored on a 14-yard pass from Matthew Huff to Jose Sanchez late in the second quarter to cut Westlake’s lead to 35-7. Huff completed six of 13 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. He threw one interception.
Nick Solokian led the Dons with 73 yards rushing in 17 carries.
Westlake gained 455 yards, including 255 yards passing and 200 rushing and held Santa Barbarba to 125 yards.
