Cun Settles Score for Valley in Semifinal

Two free throws by Song Cun with 3.5 seconds to play put the game out of reach and Valley College defeated Saddleback, 89-84, on Friday in the semifinals of the Fullerton men’s basketball tournament.

Mike Crawford scored 23 points and DaMarcus Ellis had 22 with seven assists for Valley (4-1).

Saddleback is 4-1.

In another men’s basketball game:

Fullerton 91, Antelope Valley 82--Jimmy White scored 25 points and Brady Chelette and Jonathan Nave each had 15 for Antelope Valley (2-2) in the semifinals of the Fullerton tournament.

Bo Segeberg had 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals for Antelope Valley.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Pepperdine 88, Western Kentucky 81--Damaris Hinojosa had 20 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists for the Waves (1-0) in the Hawaiian Regent Classic at Hawaii.

Morgan Nadja had a team-high 23 points for the Waves.
