Valencia takes on Mira Costa in a Division III quarterfinal Friday, and two members of Mira Costa’s coaching staff have Valley ties.
Coach Don Morrow played quarterback for Cal State Northridge in 1980-81 and ranks among the school’s career passing leaders, and offensive line coach Steve Butler was the coach at Valley College and Crespi, where he led the Celts to the 1973 major division final.
