CITY SECTION FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS
In another Championship Division quarterfinal:
Wilmington Banning 28, Granada Hills 21--Banning (6-6) won behind its powerful one-two rushing combination of A.J. Tuitele and Sal Guerrero.
Tuitele finished with 139 yards and two touchdowns in 27 carries and Guerrero had 140 yards in 21 carries.
Banning, which trailed 21-13, at halftime, put together two touchdown drives in the second half.
The first ended with a 14-yard scoring pass from Damian Satelle to Jeff Herrera midway through the third quarter and the second ended with a 10-yard touchdown run by Tuitele early in the fourth quarter.
