Aztec running back Temitope Sonuyi needs to step up after what Coach Gary Meek described as an “awful” performance last week in Esperanza’s narrow victory over Lakewood. The senior still gained 110 yards rushing and scored the winning touchdown on a reception, but he failed to find much of a rhythm. The Rebels are coming off a victory over Santa Margarita that surprised everyone except Eagle coaches, who knew how potent Miller’s triple-option could be. Freshman quarterback Kyle Jacobo makes his third start tonight.
