The City Council has waived the bidding process and awarded a $19,500 contract to Gauci Landscaping of La Habra to renovate landscaping and irrigation at Fire Station No. 2.
The Fire Department advertised the bidding process for the project and set a Sept. 20 deadline for filing, but no bids came in. The city staff sought authorization to waive the bidding, because re-bidding the project would require 30 to 45 days.
Gauci Landscaping agreed to do the work at the set price.
