Westlake’s Catalano to Sit Out 2nd Game

Westlake High two-way starter Dan Catalano is not expected to play Saturday against Clovis West.

Catalano, a senior receiver-defensive back, did not play last Friday against Buena. School officials would not disclose the reason.

Catalano’s brother, Chris, who is redshirting at Wisconsin, is due in court Sept. 25 for his alleged part in a fight that took place March 10. Chris Catalano, The Times Ventura County player of the year last fall, faces one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon.
