In the Empire League:

El Dorado 3, Kennedy 0--David Patten had 35 kills to lead visiting El Dorado to a 13-15, 15-2, 15-3, 15-7 win. Patten has 139 kills in four Empire League games.

Loara 3, Cypress 2--Yam Ly had 17 kills and Chris Moses had 11 kills and 12 blocks for host Loara (6-4, 3-1) in a 15-7, 10-15, 15-11, 14-16, 15-10 victory.

In Century League baseball:

No. 7 Canyon 7, Foothill 4--Rocky Roquet hit a go-ahead two-run double in the seventh for visiting Canyon (10-4, 6-1), which took sole possession of first place. Roquet also pitched a complete game and went four for four.

In Sunset League boys’ golf:

Los Alamitos 188, No. 2 Huntington Beach 192--Scott Kulek shot par 36 and Breene Murphy and freshman Kyle Warren each had a 37 for the last-place Griffins (6-6, 1-4) at El Dorado. Medalist Andy Anderson shot a 35 for the Oilers (10-1, 4-1).

In Garden Grove League softball:

No. 5 Pacifica 10, Los Amigos 0 (6, mercy)--Crystal Vierya pitched a no-hitter and Jodie Legaspi had a double, triple and two RBIs for Pacifica (7-2, 5-0).

In the Sunset League:

No. 3 Esperanza 1, Marina 0--April Murray scored from first in the first inning on Jennifer Schroeder’s single and an outfielder’s error to give the Aztecs (11-3, 1-1) the run pitcher Kristen Dedmon (8-3) needed.

In South Coast League boys’ tennis:

No. 9 Capistrano Valley 12, No. 6 Dana Hills 6--Junior Robbie Lamour swept at No. 2 singles as the Cougars (8-0, 4-0) handed Dana Hills (8-4, 3-1) its first league loss.
