In another Sunset League game:

Los Alamitos 9, Marina 5--Brandon Tripp had a home run, triple, single and three RBIs and Adam Sargeant pitched four innings in relief, giving up an unearned run and three hits, to get the win for host Los Alamitos (7-7, 4-3).

In the Empire League:

Kennedy 8, No. 5 El Dorado 1--Kennedy’s Robby Legro struck out four in 2 2/3 innings to record his first save, had two doubles and scored two runs.

Brad Roberts (1-1) picked up the win by going 4 1/3 innings for Kennedy(5-8, 2-5).

El Dorado is 12-3, 5-2.

In the Freeway League:

No. 6 Sonora 6, Sunny Hills 2--Jacob Mendrin (4-0) went the distance for host Sonora, striking out six.

Jon Muramoto and Jamie Lozano had three hits each for the Raiders (13-1, 7-0).

Sunny Hills is 5-8-1, 1-6.

Buena Park 11, La Habra 7--Sergio Flores’ first home run of the year for Buena Park (6-8, 4-3) was a grand slam, part of an eight-run first inning. Flores later pitched three scoreless innings of relief to pick up the save.

Troy 7, Fullerton 6--With the score tied, 6-6, Troy’s Rauly Gutierrez doubled in the top of the seventh with one out and scored the winning run on an error.

Adam Manaserro (3-3) went the final 1 2/3 innings to pick up the victory for the Warriors (5-8, 3-4).

In the Golden West League:

Santa Ana 2, Saddleback 1--Freshman David DeLeon had two hits and scored both runs for Santa Ana (5-10, 2-3-1). The Saints’ Henry Buenrostro had two hits and an RBI. Saddleback is 1-13, 0-5.

In the Orange League:

Anaheim 2, Brea Olinda 0--Ramiro Gonzalez struck out four in the shutout for Anaheim (4-3 in league). Travis Denker had two hits and a walk for Brea (4-10, 2-5).

Western 10, Magnolia 2--Rick Devinney was two for three with a home run and two RBIs for first-place Western (9-4, 6-1). Chris Jackson contributed two triples and a double and scored two runs.

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 8, Cerritos Valley Christian 4--Jacob Radomski (2-0) came in to pitch in the fourth with runners on and shut down Valley Christian for the next 2 1/3 innings to get the win for Orange Lutheran (7-5-1, 3-0-1). Lutheran’s Ryan Williams and Paul Koss had three hits each.

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 10 Corona del Mar 5, Laguna Beach 4 (8)--Jason Savopolos hit a three-run home run in the seventh to tie the score for Corona del Mar (10-3, 7-0). In the eighth, Wes Hockinson was hit by a pitch, advanced to second when the following batter was hit, then stole third and scored on an errant throw to win the game.

In the Sea View League:

Newport Harbor 4, No. 4 Irvine 2--Garrett Brant was three for four with a double and drove in the tying run in the fifth inning for Newport Harbor (5-8, 2-7). Chris Ward held Irvine (11-3, 7-2) scoreless in three innings of relief, striking out four.

In the South Coast League:

Dana Hills 10, No. 7 Mission Viejo 9--Dana Hills scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to knock off first-place Mission Viejo. Jeff Kaplin tied the score, 9-9, with a squeeze bunt and scored the winning run on Matt Falk’s two-out single. Dana Hills is 4-9-1, 2-4-1; Mission Viejo is 8-4-1, 4-2-1.
