CHAMPIONSHIP: Los Angeles Dorsey (9-3) vs. Woodland Hills Taft (10-2) at the Coliseum, 8--Dorsey won a lower-division title in 1982 and City championships in 1989, ’91 and ’95. This is the Dons’ first appearance in the final since their last title. Dorsey features a rushing attack led by running back Jermaine Moore and a punishing defense that held off Fremont for a 14-10 semifinal victory. Dorsey was penalized 16 times against Fremont. If there’s a repeat against Taft, the Dons are in trouble. Quarterback Cary Dove, receivers Steve Smith and Noah Smith and running back Justin Tryon are the main weapons for the Toreadors, who made three consecutive championship-game appearances in 1996-98 and won their only title in 1998.
