Taft’s Smith Selected City Player of the Year

Steve Smith, a junior receiver and defensive back from Woodland Hills Taft High, has been selected the player of the year for the All-City Section team chosen by area sportswriters.
Smith had 91 receptions for 1,612 yards and scored 13 touchdowns this season. He also led the Southland with 12 interceptions, helping Taft make the City Championship game.
