SEASON AT A GLANCE: Deno has filled the void left by the graduation of two-time All-Valley guard-forward Sinnamonn Garrett. She is averaging 17 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Falcons (17-10), who finished second in the Pacific League.

LAST WEEK AT A GLANCE: She scored a season-high 38 points in a 60-54 victory over Palmdale in a Southern Section Division I-AA first-round playoff game. “Her play has been outstanding this year, but [38 points] was unbelievable,” Coach Bruce Breeden said. Deno scored 16 of her team’s 20 fourth-quarter points, including a three-point play to seal it.
