St. Francis 61, Loyola 60--Michael Jenkins and Brett Mitchell combined for 29 second-half points and the Golden Knights (4-8, 1-2) won a Mission League game at St. Francis.
Jenkins finished with 22 points and Mitchell had 16.
Notre Dame 74, Alemany 61--Cody Pearson had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights (15-2, 3-0) in a Mission League victory at Alemany.
Michael Luderer had 16 points for Notre Dame.
Evan Cline led all scorers with 27 points for Alemany (5-10, 0-2).
Bell-Jeff 59, Providence 46--Casey Markovic had 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Guards (10-6) in a nonleague victory at Bell-Jeff.
Flintridge Prep 54, Rio Hondo Prep 47--Brian Strand scored 28 points and the Rebels (7-8, 1-0) won a Prep League game at Flintridge Prep.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Simi Valley 59, Agoura 53--Teresa Cooper scored 28 points, making 18 of 19 free throws, to lead the Pioneers (13-4, 2-1) to a Marmonte League victory at Simi Valley. Jennifer Lacy scored 18 points for Agoura (10-5, 1-1).
BOYS’ SOCCER
Birmingham 2, El Camino Real 1--Francisco Flores scored his seventh goal of the season in the 66th minute and the Braves (5-6-1) upset the top-ranked Conquistadores (13-3) in a West Valley League opener at Birmingham.
Roger Pina and Andy Baena led a Birmingham defense that limited El Camino Real to five shots. Birmingham has allowed only six goals this season.
Roger Cuvarubbias scored unassisted from 30 yards to give the Braves a 1-0 lead.
