In the Empire League:

Cypress 1, El Dorado 0--Krissy Grana scored off a cross from Allison Chislock in the 15th minute for Cypress (9-5, 1-0).

Kennedy 3, Katella 0--Brittany Jensen scored her 14th goal, Najhua Deeb added her 11th and Shannon Bermudez had two assists for the Fighting Irish (7-4-2, 1-0). Tracy Sterrey also scored. Katella is 2-4-4, 0-1.

In the Freeway League:

No. 9 Sunny Hills 4, Sonora 0--Simi Phull and Megan Broschak each had a goal and an assist for visiting Sunny Hills (14-0-1, 1-0).

Sonora is 6-6-3, 1-0.

In the Sea View League:

No. 4 Woodbridge 3, Laguna Hills 0--Laura Hileary, Christine Johnson and Lisa Lowry scored goals for Woodbridge (9-1-3, 1-0).

In the Serra League:

Mater Dei 1, Rosary 0--Mater Dei’s Jessica Gatica scored with two minutes remaining off an assist from Ashley Bueker at Cal State Fullerton.

In the South Coast League:

San Clemente 2, No. 1 Capistrano Valley 2--San Clemente’s Brittany Emerson scored on a direct kick with five minutes remaining to lift the host Tritons to the tie.

Emerson’s goal came after Kristen Moore put Capistrano Valley (8-1-3, 0-0-1) up, 2-1, in the 57th minute off a crossing pass from Coco D’Angelo.

Freshman Shayla Sabin made eight saves in goal for the Tritons (7-3-3, 0-0-1). Sabin was called up from the junior varsity basketball team after starter Aly Berger couldn’t play because of a hip injury.

In the Sunset League:

No. 8 Edison 2, Huntington Beach 0--Katie Shield scored a goal for Edison (12-1-3, 1-0) and assisted on a goal by Kira Simon.

Fountain Valley 0, No. 7 Esperanza 0--Judy Kazaluskas and Whitney Bailey combined to stop nine shots in goal for Fountain Valley (2-3-4, 0-0-1).

Esperanza fell to 8-1-5, 0-0-1.

In Olympic League boys’ basketball:

Orange Lutheran 83, Cerritos Valley Christian 69--Darrell Jenkins scored 38 points, converting five three-pointers and handing out 10 assists, for Orange Lutheran (5-9, 2-0).

In a nonleague game:

Tarbut V’Torah 66, Saddleback Valley Christian 40--Geoff Keith had 27 points, including five three-pointers, and Noam Dashti had 20 points and nine rebounds for Tarbut V’ Torah (13-0).

In Empire League wrestling:

No. 3 El Dorado 58, Katella 13--Keith Collins’ pin in the 145-pound weight class started a streak of seven consecutive wins for the visiting Golden Hawks (2-0, 1-0).
