SEASON AT A GLANCE: Rocco has helped the Vikings rise to No. 1 in The Times’ regional rankings. She is 13-2 with an 0.40 earned-run average for Valencia (19-2), which is in first place in the Foothill League and will play Rio Mesa on Saturday in the Thousand Oaks tournament semifinals.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: The right-hander was 2-0 with two saves, allowing only six hits in 15 2/3 shutout innings. She hurled a three-hitter against then-No. 1 Hart in a 1-0 victory, and she pitched a three-hitter in a 6-0 victory over No. 7 Newbury Park in the Thousand Oaks tournament. She had saves against Burbank and Highland.
