Corona del Mar def. Village Christian, 15-13, 15-9, 15-13--Despite 21 kills by senior opposite hitter Ken Benesh, the top-seeded Crusaders (26-3) lost a semifinal at Glendale Community College.
Forrest Mack of Corona del Mark (15-6) had 19 kills.
Nick Manghelli recorded 11 kills and 11 digs, and setter Matt Levoe had 37 assists for Village Christian, which reached the semifinals for the fifth time since 1993.
