Division III

La Habra Sonora 5, Newbury Park 3--Michelle Miller drove in the winning run in the sixth inning with her second double at Sonora.

Carrie Wiesen (18-8) pitched a three-hitter and did not allow an earned run for Sonora (22-10).

Chrissy Zappia (9-4) took the loss in relief of Katie Stokx for Newbury Park (21-11), which tied the score, 3-3, with a three-run fifth inning.

Robyn Wike had two hits and one run batted in for the Panthers.

Division IV

Lompoc 3, Notre Dame 0--Amanda De La Cerda (19-6) allowed two unearned runs and five hits with three strikeouts for Notre Dame (20-8), which was held to three hits, at Lompoc.

Diamond Ranch 2, La Canada 0--Lai-Kia Fennell (21-6) pitched a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts, three walks and one hit batter at Diamond Ranch (21-6).

Kelly Kalish (18-3) struck out nine for the Spartans (24-3-1) and was victimized by a two-run error with two out in the sixth inning.

Division V

Paraclete 3, Riverside Notre Dame 0--Sara Gonzales pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts for the Spirits at Riverside Notre Dame (10-10).

Catherine Buttrey had a double and a run-scoring single for the Spirits (23-3), and Nikki Cordova had a run-scoring single.

Village Christian 3, La Salle 0--Lauren Nydam pitched her second no-hitter of the playoffs and Julie Stone finished off a three-run third inning with a two-run single for the Crusaders (22-4) at Village Christian.

Nydam (16-3), who is a freshman, struck out nine and walked two.

Division VI

Faith Baptist 9, Maricopa 0--The Contenders (19-10-1) had 15 hits, six for extra bases, and Evette Hernandez pitched a three-hitter at Faith Baptist.

Hernandez, who struck out four, had two hits and an RBI.

Jessica Velasquez hit a two-run double, Amy Rudolph had two hits and an RBI, and Alexis Garcia had three hits, including two triples.

Oaks Christian 8, Hamilton 0--Shannon Van Vorst drove in three runs with three of Oaks Christian’s five hits at Russell Ranch Park in Westlake Village.

Ashley Freeman (25-4) pitched a three-hitter with 16 strikeouts and one walk for the Lions (25-4-2), who capitalized on six walks and four hit batters by pitcher Tenisha Magiel (18-4) of Hamilton (22-4).
