Lakewood Mayfair 18, Aliso Viejo Aliso Niguel 15--Hugo Penate kicked a 32-yard field goal with 18 seconds left to give the fourth-seeded Monsoons (8-3) their victory in a Division VI game at Bellflower High.

Jimmy Manley scored on a 10-yard run and tacked on a conversion run for an 8-7 Mayfair lead with 1:35 left in the half. A bad punt snap by Aliso Niguel (6-4) set up Manley’s second touchdown, a two-yard run with 36 seconds left in the half.

Manley finished the night with 172 yards in 33 carries.

The Wolverines drove 91 yards for the tying touchdown in the third quarter. A four-yard pass play from Bryce Latimer to Don Hawthorne set up a a two-yard touchdown run by Alex Meade with 5:27 remaining in the quarter.
