Huntington Beach Edison (10-0-1) vs. Santa Ana Mater Dei (8-4) at Santa Ana Stadium, 7:30 tonight--Edison receiver Marcus McCutcheon’s 14-yard touchdown reception with 3:43 left gave the Chargers a 20-13 victory over Mater Dei when these teams met in Week 4 at Santa Ana Stadium, but the Monarchs have rebounded to win seven of eight games. Edison hasn’t slowed down either, posting its best record since going 14-0 in 1980. Charger quarterback Tommy Grady shredded Mater Dei for 227 yards and three touchdowns earlier this season, but Monarch quarterback Colt Brennan has been hot. Brennan completed 23 of 30 passes for 318 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-28 romp last week over second-seeded Redlands.
