Record Set for Pass Attempts

Brian Kaufman attempted a national prep-record 83 passes Friday night for Maplewood (Minn.) Hill-Murray High, completing 34 in the Pioneers’ 53-41 loss to visiting Minnetonka. Kaufman, who had a state-record 555 yards passing, also ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass.
Kaufman, a senior, attempted 73 passes the week before in Hill-Murray’s season-opening loss to Waseca.

Concord De La Salle won its national-record 114th consecutive game, defeating Clovis Buchanan, 56-14, before close to 7,500 fans at Buchanan Stadium Saturday.
De La Salle running back Alijah Bradley rushed for a game-high 119 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown, in nine carries in the first half. He also returned an interception 55 yards for a score that made the score 35-0 early in the third quarter.
Quarterback Matt Gutierrez completed eight of 13 passes for 115 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
