Bill Miller, who has coached several sports at Santa Ana High since his arrival there in 1979, has resigned after 11 seasons as boys’ tennis coach.
Miller, 63, guided the Saints to a 16-2 record last spring, although they lost to Aliso Niguel in the first round of the Southern Section Division I playoffs.
Luis Rodriguez, a 1996 Santa Ana graduate and former player under Miller, will take over as coach in the spring. Rodriguez will become the Saints’ third boys’ tennis coach since 1954, following Neal Machander and Miller.
