Link to Serial Rapes Investigated in Attack
Police are investigating whether a rape two weeks ago in east Long Beach is linked to six other attacks in the area since 1997.
The latest rape occurred on April 6 about 2 a.m. after a man entered a woman’s home through an unlocked door, police said.
The attack was similar to six other rapes that have been connected through physical evidence, police said.
Witnesses described the man to police as white, between 25 and 35 years old, of slender build and between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 in height.
Anyone with information may call the Long Beach Police Department at (562) 570-7372.
