Narbonne Rushes to Invitational Title
Tyrone Barnes ran for 126 yards and three touchdowns and Harbor City Narbonne rushed for 321 yards Friday at the Coliseum to defeat Granada Hills, 49-38, to win its second consecutive City Section Invitational championship.
Patrick Smith added 101 yards and a touchdown in 10 carries. The Gauchos (6-8) built on a 28-24 third-quarter lead with touchdown runs by quarterback Marc Hull and Barnes. Kennan Jones’ 26-yard interception return made it 49-24.
Brandon Charls completed 13 of 29 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns for the Highlanders, who finished 9-5.
