A man accused of choking his girlfriend and throwing her into a ravine was ordered held without bail Monday on a probation violation, authorities said.

Bryan John Klein, 32, of San Jacinto faces charges of attempted murder and domestic violence with prior convictions, Orange County district attorney’s officials said.

Wendy Mason, 33, of Santa Ana told police that Klein attacked her Wednesday while they were in a remote area of Limestone Regional Park near Irvine. Authorities said Klein pushed her into a ravine, where she suffered a punctured lung and a broken hip.
