Public Library Expands Its Hours
The Oxnard Public Library is expanding its hours. Beginning Sunday, the library, at 251 South A St., will open 90 minutes earlier weekdays and be open Sunday afternoons.
The City Council, during the city’s budget process, allocated $126,220 for the expanded operations.
“On numerous occasions, we heard that the community wanted the library open additional hours and days,” said Barbara Murray, library director.
The new hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Friday.
