New York Giant Michael Strahan, who set the single-season sacks record with 221/2, and St. Louis Ram Marshall Faulk, who scored 21 touchdowns, were unanimously selected Saturday to the Associated Press all-pro team.

Three of Faulk’s teammates, Kurt Warner, Orlando Pace and Aeneas Williams, were selected.

Others selected included Kansas City running back Priest Holmes, receiver Terrell Owens of San Francisco and linebackers Brian Urlacher of Chicago and Ray Lewis of Baltimore.

Green Bay’s Brett Favre will start at quarterback ahead of Warner for the NFC in the Pro Bowl game Feb. 9 at Honolulu.

Oakland’s Rich Gannon will start at quarterback for the AFC.

Other NFC starters on offense include Faulk, Owens, tight end Bubba Franks of Green Bay, fullback Mike Alstott of Tampa Bay and receiver David Boston of Arizona.

Among those starting for the AFC on offense will be running back Curtis Martin of the New York Jets, receiver Marvin Harrison of Indianapolis and tight end Tony Gonzalez of Kansas City.

Former Florida coach Steve Spurrier said he hasn’t met with anyone from the Washington Redskins and would not reveal the NFL teams with which he is dealing.

“Something will probably happen next week,” Spurrier said.

Reportedly, the Redskins and Carolina Panthers appear most interested in Spurrier.
