Oxnard Man Accused of Choking Woman

An Oxnard man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of breaking into a Ventura motel room and choking his girlfriend.
William Jackson, 28, and his girlfriend were driving on Main Street and arguing shortly before 1 a.m. when she jumped from the car and fled to a room at the Loop Motor Lodge.
People in the room tried to hide her, but Jackson broke in, choked her and dragged her to the car, police said.
