A systems analyst with the federal penitentiary in Lompoc was arrested after Santa Barbara Municipal Airport security guards allegedly discovered a handgun in his coat pocket.

Jordan Hollingsworth, 40, was preparing to board a plane to New York on Sunday when the airport X-ray machine detected a .25-caliber pistol, authorities said.

Police arrested Hollingsworth and released him. They will recommend the district attorney file charges of carrying a concealed weapon, documents indicate.
