Ousted Elections Official Seeks Reinstatement

As the city prepares for an election with an enormous ballot, its ousted elections director, Tammy Haygood, is fighting to be reinstated.
But the state Court of Appeal ruled Wednesday that she cannot go back until the end of this election cycle. The court also said it would hear oral arguments in her case Dec. 11.
The “order assures a prompt resolution of the matter and hopefully a prompt return to work for Tammy Haygood,” Haygood’s attorney Vernon C. Grigg III told the San Francisco Chronicle.
