15-Year-Old Boy Killed by Vehicle Is Identified

A 15-year-old boy who was struck and killed when he darted into the street was identified Tuesday as Timothy Jackes of Laguna Niguel.
Jackes was pronounced dead at San Clemente Hospital and Medical Center after being struck about 6 p.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Calle Frontera.
The driver who struck him, Renee Brant, 18, was not cited pending the outcome of an investigation, a police spokesman said.
