Kurt Oliver scored a school-record 51 points to lead Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World past Fontana Kaiser, 99-75, in a nonleague game. Oliver made 13 of 20 three-pointers, including seven consecutive at one point, in setting a school record for three-pointers made in a game.

Freshman Terrence Joyner scored seven of his 37 points in overtime to lift Alhambra to a 75-71 Almont League victory over Bell Gardens.

IN THE CLUTCH

Mark Vuoso’s putback at the buzzer lifted San Pedro Mary Star to a 61-59 Camino Real League victory over Montebello Cantwell Sacred Heart.

William Hunt’s layup with two seconds to play gave Wildomar Elsinore a 65-63 Sunbelt League victory over Hemet.

Kevin Rogers connected on a layup with 1.7 seconds left to give Corona Centennial a 64-63 Mountain View League victory over Corona.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Martin Luther King Day Inland Classic today at Riverside King features eight games split between two sessions. In the morning session, San Bernardino Cajon plays La Puente Bishop Amat at 9 a.m., No. 7 San Bernardino San Gorgonio plays Elsinore at 10:30 a.m., Chino Hills Ayala plays Etiwanda at noon and Murrieta Valley plays Irvine Northwood at 1:30 p.m. In the evening session, Riverside Poly plays Rim of the World at 3:30 p.m., No. 19 Moreno Valley Canyon Springs plays Upland at 5 p.m., Glendora plays Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon at 6:30 p.m. and Riverside King plays No. 23 Rialto Eisenhower at 8 p.m.

No. 5 Brea Olinda faces perhaps its stiffest test of the season Tuesday when it plays host to Villa Park in their first meeting since the Wildcats moved to the Century League.

No. 6 Fontana can go a long way toward ending Eisenhower’s stranglehold on the Citrus Belt League when the teams meet Friday at Eisenhower.
