Mystics Blow Lead, Hold on
Coco Miller scored 18 points, and the Washington Mystics blew a 16-point second-half lead before holding on for a 79-72 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars in front of 11,974 at Washington on Tuesday night.
The Silver Stars were stunned in the first half when forward Sylvia Crawley sprained her neck and lay on the court for about 15 minutes before being taken away on a stretcher. She was to stay overnight at a local hospital for further observation.
In other games: Becky Hammon came off the bench to score 28 points to lead the New York Liberty to a 73-65 victory over the Cleveland Rockers in front of 12,365 at New York.... Tina Thompson scored 22 points to lead the Houston Comets to a 71-66 victory over the Sacramento Monarchs in front of 7,174 at Houston.... Lauren Jackson scored 20 points to lead the Seattle Storm to a 78-51 victory over the Indiana Fever in front of 5,638 at Seattle.
