Jeff Flaig, Placentia El Dorado: Had three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs for the No. 22 Golden Hawks in a 10-5 victory over No. 6 Santa Margarita in a semifinal game of the Loara tournament.
Keith Mastel, Fountain Valley: Gave up one run and two hits in five innings and had three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored for the No. 22 Barons in a 10-1 victory over No. 3 Lakewood in a Loara tournament consolation game.
Kurt Pomerleau, West Torrance: Had a three-run home run in a 7-6 victory over Torrance in an El Segundo tournament semifinal.
Kris Medlen, Cerritos Gahr: Threw a four-hitter, striking out seven and walking two with no earned runs, and had four hits with a run scored in a 4-2 victory over Long Beach Poly in an El Segundo tournament consolation game.
SOFTBALL
Darcie McClelland, Fullerton Rosary: Threw a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts in a 2-0 nonleague victory over Anaheim Western.
Karen Gomez, Los Angeles Garfield: Had five hits, including a home run and two doubles, and drove in six runs in a 14-0 nonleague victory over L.A. Belmont. Karla Vaca pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the five-inning game.
