Freeway Crash Kills Motorcyclist
A motorcyclist died Friday evening in an accident involving a truck on the Santa Ana Freeway in Fullerton, authorities said.
Details were sketchy and officials did not release the name of the victim.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes just south of Magnolia Avenue, said Officer Katrina Lundgren, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol.
The rider fell from his motorcycle in the center lane of the freeway and was struck by the truck and possibly one or more cars.
“Either he was avoiding someone, or got hit,” Lundgren said, “but the rider flew off his bike, was down in the center lane, and got run over.”
He was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
