2 Dead, 1 Hurt in Car-Truck Collision
Two Gridley women were killed when the car they were in was struck by a pickup truck driven by a suspected drunk driver, and a third was moderately injured, the California Highway Patrol reported.
William Napoli, 41, of Rancho Cordova has been identified as the driver of the truck. He was arrested on suspicion of felony manslaughter and driving under the influence.
Napoli received minor injuries in the collision early Thursday morning on California 99 in Sutter County.
The 30-year-old woman who survived was asleep at the time of the crash and couldn’t provide investigators with any information.
The names of the victims have not been released.
Napoli was booked at the Sutter County Jail.
