A Santa Ana man was killed Saturday in what police believe was a gang-related shooting.
Police responded to reports of a fight at the Red Roof Inn on East Dyer Road at 11:47 p.m., said Lt. Alan Caddell.
Efrain Juan Petatan, 22, was found lying in a hallway with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Caddell said.
Gilbert Petatan, a cousin, was found in a room at the motel with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
