Lay’s Indictment
For once, when I picked up The Times in my driveway, I had a positive feeling instead of a negative one. There, on Page 1, was [former Enron Chief Executive] Kenneth Lay in irons (“Lay Hears Federal Charges in Court,” July 9). It’s about time. Now, if we can run the rest of those miscreants out of Washington, our public life may be restored to some form of decency.
