Two men died in separate car crashes in Orange County over the weekend.

Adrian Rocha, 18, of Anaheim was hit and killed by an SUV shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday on a southbound transition road to California 133 in Irvine, Deputy Coroner Rod Thomas said. Rocha apparently was trying to cross the two-lane road after his car broke down, Thomas said. The driver was not cited.

Motorist Joaquin Chavez, 30, of Mexico died about 2:15 a.m. Sunday after striking the center divider on the westbound 91 Freeway near the Kraemer Boulevard exit in Anaheim. Police said he might have been speeding.
