Judge Tells Registrar to Correct Ballots
From Times Staff Reports
A Superior Court judge on Friday instructed the county registrar of voters to correct an error in instructions for the Nov. 2 City Council elections, Irvine officials said.
The wrong instructions told voters to select a maximum of two candidates. Voters must select a maximum of three.
The registrar will reprogram electronic ballot machines and mail supplemental ballots to Irvine’s 24,000 absentee voters.
