Botox case

I’ve been reading the L.A. Times coverage of the Botox trial, and I cringed as I read every personal, private detail disclosed from Irena Medavoy’s medical files that Gina Piccalo seemed to take great glee in reporting [“Stress Lines Show at the Botox Trial,” Oct. 8]. I even felt sorry for Dr. [Arnold] Klein, because she told of his unfortunate [bladder] accident.

I admire Medavoy for being brave enough to take on “Dr. Botox” and the billion-dollar drug company. To have your life an open book for the highest-paid sharks to feast on must have been as excruciating as the migraines she suffered. I was dismayed that the jury didn’t rule in her favor. I can’t imagine that anyone on that jury had suffered migraines, or they would have understood how they could have affected her life.
