* Michael Lugo, La Puente Bishop Amat: Hit a home run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 1-0 victory over tournament host Glendora to put the Lancers into Saturday’s championship game against Riverside Poly.

* Curtis Hill, Rancho Santa Margarita Tesoro: Drove in three runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh inning, in a 6-5 victory over Mission Viejo in the Foothill/Newport Elks tournament.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Matt Rawson, Manhattan Beach Mira Costa: Had 31 kills and eight blocks in four pool-play victories for the Mustangs, who take on Los Angeles Loyola in the Gold Division playoffs today in the San Diego Francis Parker tournament.

* Ian Jackson, Simi Valley: Had 24 kills, including the match-winner, in a 25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 19-25, 16-14 victory over Westlake in a Marmonte League opener for both teams.
