GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Stephanie Barry, Long Beach Wilson: Had 18 kills to lead the host and third-seeded Bruins (23-3) to a sweep of Upland in a Southern Section Division I-AA quarterfinal.

* Amanda Elliot and Lauren Simmons, North Torrance: Combined for 29 kills and 32 digs in a five-game victory over fourth-seeded Irvine Northwood in a Division II-A quarterfinal.

* Stephanie Darnall, Laguna Beach: Had 21 kills as the Breakers (24-6) swept La Reina (18-7) to advance to the Division IV-AA semifinals for the second consecutive year.
