* Stephanie Brandt, Irvine University: Had 10 kills, 20 assists, eight digs and two aces for the Warriors, ranked No. 4 in Division II-A, who stayed undefeated with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 sweep at Laguna Hills.

* Beth Wildermuth and Sara Manley, Santa Margarita: Wildermuth had 42 assists and Manley served six aces, including one on match point, as the visiting Eagles, ranked No. 2 in Division III-AA, beat Edison, ranked No. 7 in Division II-AA, 16-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-27, 15-11.

BOYS’ WATER POLO

* Matt Richardson, Palos Verdes: Scored seven goals, assisted on five others and made three steals for the Sea Kings, ranked No. 4 in Division III, in a 17-10 nonleague victory at No. 6 Crescenta Valley.

* Kevin Kuhn and Forest Monroe, Loyola: Each scored five goals in the Cubs’ 14-9 nonleague upset over visiting South Pasadena, the seventh-ranked team in Division III.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

* Akane Kitamura and Sara Chang, Peninsula: Swept 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles to lead the Panthers, ranked first in Division I, in a 12-6 nonleague victory over fifth-ranked Harvard-Westlake. No. 1 singles player Hilary Barte swept her three sets at love for the Wolverines.
