Get ready, television viewers: The Streamys are coming.

The multiplatform awards show, which is designed to honor excellence in online video and those who create it, will take place at the Hollywood Palladium on Sept. 17 and will air on VH1.

Here are five things to look for:

1. How the show does on a different screen

Since its inception, the Streamys have been a must-watch event for younger audiences who consume content mostly online. Last year’s show, hosted by YouTube personalities Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart, racked up more than 7 million views on YouTube, 2.8 million Vine loops in 24 hours and three worldwide trending topics on Twitter.

This is the first time the digital awards show, organized by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter, will be broadcast on television and online (on VH1’s digital platforms).

VH1, which is owned by cable giant Viacom Inc., is available in 93 million households in the U.S. It has an array of digital channels and services including VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul, the VH1 App and VH1.com.

Will the jump to TV work? Only ratings (and clicks) will tell.

2. Hilarious jokes from hosts Helbig and Tyler Oakley

Hosts can often make or break a show but it’s obvious this duo of YouTubers will definitely make it.

Oakley, who has amassed 7.5 million YouTube subscribers, has a book called “Binge” on deck. Helbig, who has 2.7 million YouTube subscribers, penned a book and starred in her own E! show.

With their large social media following and down-to-earth personalities, the two are essentially YouTube royalty, making them perfect picks for the hosting gig.

3. A mix of digital and traditional stars (convergence!)

There is a growing list of digital stars making the leap into the traditional entertainment space, but there are also many traditional stars who dabble in digital.

This year, it seems the Streamys has taken advantage of that trend by inviting a slew of more traditional artists and actors to join in on the digital awards celebration.

Set to present are stars spanning the entertainment spectrum, including Paula Abdul (“America Idol”), Mel B. (former Spice Girl and “America’s Got Talent” host), musician Natasha Bedingfield, Sean Kingston, NeNe Leakes (“The Real Housewives of Atlanta”), Shay Mitchell (“Pretty Little Liars”) and Jillian Rose Reed (MTV’s “Awkward”).

And many of these stars are paired up with digital personalities. For example, R&B artist Ciara and beauty mogul Michelle Phan are co-presenting and Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox (known for their YouTube moniker Smosh) are sitting at a table next to Kat Graham (from The CW’s popular show “Vampire Diaries”).

4. The nine announced winners

The Streamys already announced 35 winners at an awards reception earlier this week at the YouTube Space in Playa Vista. (Check out the list of winners so far).

On Thursday night, winners of nine additional categories consisting of Beauty, Comedy, First Person, Kids and Family, Lifestyle, Pranks and Viner as well as the two Audience Choice categories -- Entertainer of the Year and Show of the Year -- will make their way to the stage to nab their awards.

5. The lineup of musical performances

Grammy Award-winning duo Great Big World ft. Futuristic, “Cheerleaders” singer OMI, rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot and “Pitch Perfect 2” star Hailee Steinfeld are all performing at the awards show this year.

Music to viewers’ ears.
