Tournament MVP Danny Polyakov had three goals, two assists, two steals and drew six ejections for Agoura (6-3), which received 18 saves in goal by Ryan Paris. Kyle Knapp had four goals to lead Thousand Oaks.

Bonita led 7-5 entering the fourth quarter but the Bearcats were outscored 3-1 to force overtime. Connor McColl scored the game-winning goal from outside of 7 meters in sudden death overtime for Los Altos.

Daniel Garcia scored four goals, including the game-winner 40 seconds left in the third sudden-death overtime, and Andrew Mesesan made 15 saves for Servite (4-3). J.W. Krumpoltz scored four goals for Foothill (4-3), which trailed 8-6 after three quarters.

Laguna Hills 13, Tesoro 9
Tesoro is tournament champion based on goal differential. The Titans entered the championship game undefeated, while Laguna Hills had lost an earlier game to Dana Hills, and could afford to lose the final game by four goals or less and still be named tournament champion.

Freshman Spencer White was named MVP of the tournament based on his stellar defense for Tesoro (6-2). Zach White’s 2-meter play and Sean Colton’s key goals helped Tesoro enter the championship game undefeated.

Stephen Blount scored the sudden death winning goal in the second overtime period to give the Diablos a 6-5 victory over Santa Margarita (5-3). Goalkeepers Ryan Pellerin of Mission Viejo and Michael Connor of Santa Margarita each had ten saves in the contest.

Leading goal scorers for Mission Viejo were Stephen Blount and Aaron Lefevre with two goals apiece. John Nuccio led Santa Margarita with two goals.

Scott Burns and Jordan Thompson each scored three goals for La Canada, which tallied four goals in the final quarter to erase a 7-6 deficit.

Los Alamitos 8, Foothill 4
Scott Davidson scored four goals and Steven Brook added two goals as Los Alamitos, the No. 2-ranked team in the Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll, defeated Foothill, ranked No. 5 in Division I, at Capistrano Valley High.

Los Alamitos held a 3-2 edge at halftime, but Brook scored both of his goals and Davidson had one of his in the third period as the Griffins (10-1) extended their lead to 6-3 going into the final period.

Layton Snyder and Calvin Kagan scored the other goals for Los Alamitos, which plays Long Beach Wilson in one championship semifinal at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. Newport Harbor plays Villa Park in the other semfinal game at 10:40 a.m. Saturday. Both games will take place at Newport Harbor High.

Long Beach Wilson 7, Servite 5
Matt Sagehorn and Scott Swanson each had two third-quarter goals, to break a 2-2 tie, and lead Long Beach Wilson, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, broke a 2-2 halftime tie at Corona del Mar.

The scores by Sagehorn and Swanson gave the Wilson (6-0) a 6-4 lead entering the fourth quarter, which it never relinquished.

Scott Huntley, Cody Walters and Joe Sherrin each had one goal for the Bruins, and goalie Chay Lapin made 10 saves. Alex Mule scored three goals for Servite (3-3).

Wilson faces Los Alamitos, the No. 2-ranked team in the Southern Section Division II, in a semfiinal match at 11:40 a.m. Saturday at Newport Harbor High.

Santa Margarita 8, Capistrano Valley 5
Julien Lormant had four goals for Santa Margarita (5-2). Tory Tayenaka had two goals for Capistrano Valley (2-5).

Edison (4-4) was led by two goals each from Travis Bee and Ben Sonne. Kelleher of Marina scored three goals to lead Marina (2-2).

Consolation Quarterfinals

Mission Viejo 11, San Marcos 1
Junior Bryson Beardsley scored four goals and goalie Ryan Pellerin made 10 saves for Mission Viejo (4-2) at Corona del Mar High. The Diablos, who also got three goals from junior Michael Baba, will play Santa Margarita in an 11:45 a.m. consolation semifinal game at Capistrano Valley High.

David Johnson had three goals and Bryson Beardsley and Aaron Lefevere each scored twice to lead Mission Viejo (3-2)at Corona del Mar High.

Santa Margarita 10, Long Beach Poly 6
Senior Julien Lormant scored two of his team-high five goals in the fourth quarter as Santa Margarita broke open a close game against Long Beach Poly. With the teams tied at 5-5 going into the fourth quarter, Santa Margarita reserve Tim Rendon scored his only goal to put the Eagles (4-2) ahead for good with 4:48 to play.

NONLEAGUE

Cathedral 21, Workman 9
Leading scorer Chris Argueta scored 10 goals--three off his career-high set earlier this season against Alhambra--as Cathedral (6-1) won easily at Workman. Boris Torres added six goals for Cathedral. It was Workman’s season opener.

Downey 8, Temple City 4
Alan Nevarez had 14 saves for host Downey (10-2). The Vikings were led offensively by Brett Forman and Sean Feliciano with two goals apiece.

Palos Verdes 10, Loyola 4
Jordan Watson scored four goals and Eric Gobrecht added nine saves to lead Palos Verdes (7-2), ranked fourth in Division III, to a victory at Loyola (4-2). Loyola goalie D.J. Armitage made 11 saves to keep the game close for three quarters but Palos Verdes scored five goals in the final period to put the match away.

Senior goalkeeper Chris Anderson, a three-year starter for Savanna, made 10 saves to record his first career shutout in the easy victory at Orange. John McCord scored three goals for Savanna (5-3).

Stephen Blount and Michael Baba each had two goals for Mission Viejo (2-2).

Travis Bee had four goals, Trevor Dewitt added three and Tanner Riley had 12 saves for Edison (4-2). Chad Cisneros led Esperanza (1-2) with three goals.

J.W. Krumpholz scored six goals, including three of four for Foothill in the third quarter at Capistrano Valley High.The third-quarter outburst by Krumpholz, who has 19 goals on the season, helped the Knights, ranked No. 5 in the Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, take an 8-7 edge into the fourth period, and Foothill hung on the rest of the way.Krumpholz scored on a four-meter penalty shot in the final period, and Benajamin Barron converted Foothill’s last goal to account for the final margin.

Sophomore Devon Borisoff scored four goals for La Canada. Julien Mormant had two goals for Santa Margarita (3-2).

Long Beach Wilson 15, Murietta Valley 0
Long Beach Wilson 15, Poway 7

Scott Swanson had five goals and Matt Sagehorn had three in the second game for Wilson, the top-ranked team in Division I. Earlier in a 15-0 victory over Murietta Valley, Wilson (5-0) had 11 different players score. The Bruins will play Servite, ranked No. 3 in Division II, in the next round.

Daniel Garcia, who had five goals, scored 25 seconds into sudden death overtime to give Servite (3-2) the victory. Tom Pearson scored seven goals to lead host Corona del Mar (2-3). Servite is ranked third in Division II while Corona del Mar is ranked sixth in Division I by CIF.

Rory Bevins had four goals, three assists, three steals and Mason Cox, four goals, and assist and steal for Servite in a first-round match at Corona del Mar.

Whittier (1-1), a young team with two seniors, two juniors and three sophomores in the starting lineup, was lead by Bruce Sanger who scored five goals and Cory Baccus, Miguel Villabos and Martin Esparza who each added two goals for the visitors, which led the entire the game.

Costa Mesa 21, Westminster 1
Senior Adam Douglas had eight goals, including three each in the first two periods, to go with nine steals, and junior Kyle Thorsness had four goals, six assists and four steals for Costa Mesa (5-1, 1-0) in a season opener at Estancia. Thorsness leads the Mustangs with 25 goals on the season. Douglas has 19 goals overall on the year.

NONLEAGUE

Ayala 18, Los Altos 15
Josh Garcia and Chuck Camacho each had five goals to lead Ayala (12-2) at Los Altos.

Bonita 6, Palos Verdes 4
Sophomore Brett Hays scored three goals for host Bonita (2-0).

El Segundo 15, Arcadia 4
Senior Steve Homeyer had five goals and Cameron Hughes and Josh Combs each had four goals for host El Segundo (6-2), ranked No. 4 in Division VI by CIF. Freshman goalie Matt Kubeck had a career-high 16 saves for the Eagles. Arcadia is 2-6.

El Toro 13, La Canada 12
T.J. Fuentes scored the last of his four goals with 22 seconds left to lift El Toro (2-0), ranked No. 3 in the Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, over La Canada, ranked No. 3 in Division III.Fuentes’ goal capped a fourth-quarter rally by the Chargers, who led, 7-6, at halftime and also got four goals from Dane Lindstrom. Jordan Thompson scored five of his six goals in the third quarter to help La Canada erase the slight deficit and take a 12-10 lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Spartans were shut out in the final period as they lost four starters to foul trouble. El Toro tied the game at 12-12 with 1:29 remaining on a goal by Derrek Danna.

Foothill 16, Esperanza 9
Damjan Dudic had four goals and J.W. Krumpholz and Barron Benjamin each had three goals for Foothill (2-1). Ted Low had three goals to lead Esperanza (0-2).

Long Beach Wilson 8, Corona del Mar 7
Anthony Artukovich, whose been battling injuries this season, came off the bench to score his only goal in the final minute to break the tie and help Wilson (3-0) remain unbeaten. The Bruins were led by Matt Sagehorn with three goals and goalkeeper Chay Lapin with 13 saves. CDM (1-2) was led by goalkeeper Gaston Sanford, who had 14 saves.

Los Amigos 19, Whitney 13
Senior two-meter man Adam Sarmiento recorded six goals, including three in the third quarter, for the Los Amigos (3-4) at Cerritos Park East. Junior Manny Lepe, who been the Lobos’ goalie for their first six games, played in the field against Whitney (1-1) and had four goals and six assists. Senior Jorge Mendoza replaced Lepe in goal and made 10 saves for the Lobos.

Mission Viejo 3, Northwood 2 (OT)
David Johnson scored the game-winning goal to give unranked Mission Viejo the upset over the No. 8-ranked team by CIF. Johnson finished with two goals, Aaron Lefevre scored the other and senior goalie Ryan Pellerin had 13 saves for the Diablos (2-1). Senior Derrick Wiese-Bailey had 10 saves for Northwood (1-1).

Oaks Christian 18, Villanova Prep 0
Adam Wirdak, Paul Jones and Jon Pare each scored three goals for host Oaks Christian (3-2).

Riverside Poly 16, Upland 5
Kevin Pope had four goals and Christian Cardey added three goals for Riverside Poly (6-0), which led 10-1 at halftime, at Los Osos High. Upland is 7-4.

Santa Margarita 15, Marina 11
Julien Lormant had five goals and five assists David Husen added five goals and three assists for host Santa Margarita (3-1).

Sophomore Zach White had a team-high seven goals and seven steals and Joey Bryars and Spencer White had four steals each to lead Tesoro (2-0). Andy Kosch had five goals to lead Woodbridge. The match was tied at the end of each period -- 6-6, 10-10 and 15-15 -- before Tesoro built a two-goal lead in the fourth quarter.
