The Laguna Beach Breakers seventh-grade All-Net boys’ team took on first-place Rancho Santa Margarita in the second weekend of National Junior Basketball action Saturday at Thurston Middle School in Laguna Beach.

The visiting Titans jumped out to a 13-0 lead but Laguna battled back to force a tie score late in the game, only to come out on the short end of a 48-42 score.

The Breakers fought back behind the shooting of Willie Rounaghi, Matt Berk and Jack Payne to pull into a 40-40 tie with two minutes left. Rounaghi led the Breakers with 14 points. Nolan Naess scored nine points, Berk eighth points, and Payne and Gavin Trevino added five points each.

Arthur Rounaghi and Will Compton set the Laguna defense and ran the offense at the point guard position.
